I am so amazed how we Americans have become the disposable society. I see this a lot in my profession. People today do not consider their home furnishings as investments. Today's society wants to fill there homes as quickly as they can with cheep low quality furniture only to find themselves replacing it in only a couple of years. Caves provided consistent storing conditions that allowed wine to age at a perfect pace. Believe it or not these conditions have become the standard for modern wine cellars today.
